WHY SHOULD I USE GIVAHOY?
Obviously, this depends on who you are. But here are some reasons. Feel free to find your own.
I DON’T CARRY CASH
This is a growing segment of society. Cards are accepted in all stores, so cash has a changing role in our lives. As far as charity collections are concerned (among many other groups), cash is still vital. Without it, they move towards corporate partnerships, expensive payment alternatives and commission-based subscription sales.
I LIKE MY ANONYMITY
Why should a recipient know what I am giving? And why would a charity need to know who I am? Givahoy sits between you and the recipients, such that they cannot know who you are, and can only contact you, with your permission, through Givahoy.
I WANT A TAX REFUND*
If you are paying tax and giving to charity, then there is a program in place to refund $1 for every $3 given. So if you give $15, you get $5 back. You can give that to charity, or treat yourself to a coffee. And why would you not want the Government to buy you a coffee? You just need a receipt, and that’s what Givahoy can do.

I BUDGET MY GIVING
Setting aside a limited pool of funds for charitable giving seems pretty sensible. Givahoy has you put your own money into it, so you have complete control. It can’t take more, and no-one can make you pay.
I WANT TO KNOW MORE
If you want to connect with a recipient on your own terms, then you can opt-in to communications. The recipients will then be able to contact you through Givahoy and inform you about what they are doing.
